Winter or summer, through the ice or under a blazing sun, this deeply insulated, aerated bait well keeps minnows, shiners, or shrimp safe from dangerous temperature swings and oxygen depletion. Seamless marine-grade construction features an injection-molded copolymer body, high-grade molded polystyrene insulation, self-stopping lid hinges, super-tight latches secured by stainless steel screws, and a full water- and airtight gasket lid seal. The powerful side-mount, 2-speed pump quietly runs fresh oxygenated air to a weighted air stone, generating continuous bubbling action; the flexible silicone air hose is ported through the lid, to prevent leakage during transport and enable complete filling to minimize sloshing and turbulence inside. The air pump runs on 2 D batteries (not included) or via a corded 12V DC cigarette lighter adapter (5'L, included); or you can use a corded AC adapter (not included) on powered docks or for bait storage between trips. For exceptional ease of use, the Engel Live Bait Cooler with Engel Aerator comes with a full-sized, corrosion-resistant soft pull net which makes changing water or selecting bait quick and harmless.
